My Freshman Year and The Mind at Work 9/15/13
I really enjoyed reading The Mind at Work better than the ethnography reading because it was from the authors point of view and how he was going into detail about all the jobs his family members had. I also could understand what the author meant when he said that his parents didn't want him to have the same job as they did. I can relate because both my parents got an associates degree while I am going to college to get my bachelors degree. In My Freshman Year I agree with the author about how the freshman class form bonds and friendships with only a small amount of people and how no one went to watch the SuperBowl. I can relate because I only hang out with a group of five or six other people and I do not talk to all of the girls on my floor. In conclusion I really enjoyed both readings.
